Apata Ajale Secondary College, Asa, yesterday gained the virgin Kwara Inter-Secondary College Volleyball competitors held in Ilorin. The varsity took first place by defeating Authorities Excessive College, Adeta, 3-1 (25-14, 25-19, 20-25, 25-17).
The third place was secured by Erin-Ile Secondary College after eradicating the College of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Secondary College with 2-0 (25-14, 25-20).

Talking on the time, the chief organizer, Dare Kuti, expressed gratitude for the profitable occasion of the three-day competitors.
He stated: “Appreciation goes to the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod, for his fixed help to make sure that volleyball reaches the nation’s nook and cranny.
“Nimrod, a person who believes in grassroots sports activities, impressed me to take a giant step by arranging this competitors, and with out his help I don’t assume the competitors would have seen the sunshine of day.
“I wish to thank the Kwara State Sports activities Fee chaired by Mallam Bolakale Mogaji; the Kwara State Volleyball Affiliation chaired by Bashorun Bankole; the Particular Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sports activities, Mallam Ibrahim Attahiru; the President of the Nigeria Park Volleyball Fee, Main Normal Taritimiye Gagariga, different for the success of the competitors. “
Nevertheless, Kuti urged well-meaning Nigerians to help the expansion of volleyball as a sport within the state, particularly from the grassroots.
